AZ DPS-Approved Online Unarmed Security Guard Card Course

Overview
This Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZ DPS)-approved 8-hour online training course is designed for both new and renewing unarmed security guards. Equivalent to the traditional in-person classroom session, this course equips participants with the foundational knowledge required to qualify for an Arizona Unarmed Security Guard Card. The course also fulfills renewal requirements, as both new and renewal applicants undergo the same training.

Course Structure
The course is divided into modules covering essential security guard roles, responsibilities, and operational functions in Arizona. Each lesson must be completed sequentially. Upon successful course completion, participants will be prepared to apply for or renew their Arizona Unarmed Security Guard Card.

Important Course Requirements

Time Commitment: The course must be completed in one day, without interruptions. Once started, participants must complete all lessons and pass the final exam with a minimum score of 70%.

Final Exam & Certification: Upon successful completion, students will receive the AZ DPS Unarmed Security Guard Registration Application and Training Verification Form via email.
